Trenchless Pipe Lining

Cured-in-Place Pipe Restoration for Tampa Bay's Aging Cast Iron and Clay Sewer Lines

Viking Sewer Rehab has been providing industry-leading, cost-effective services. Our range of solutions includes trenchless pipe lining. Also referred to as cured-in-place piping or CIPP lining, it’s a dig-free alternative to traditional excavation that can cause more damage to the property.

Sometimes called “pipe-within-a-pipe repair,” trenchless pipe repair is a pipe restoration technique that restores a drain or sewer line from the inside by creating a new pipe within the old one. Able to accommodate pipes ranging in diameter from 2 to 12 inches, it’s a highly versatile repair method that extends the life of an existing pipe. Why excavate when you can create a new pipe in the existing line rather than replacing the pipe altogether?

How Trenchless Pipe Lining Works

After we finish inspecting and cleaning the pipe, a textile liner tube coated with an epoxy coating is inserted into the existing pipe. The inverted liner is “cured” by using air pressure to facilitate the process of solidifying the liquid resin. Once the liner attaches to pipe walls, you’ll have a flaw-free inside surface.

Trenchless Pipe Lining FAQs

What is trenchless pipe lining?

Trenchless pipe lining is a no-dig method for repairing damaged sewer and drain lines from the inside. The process, also called cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, works by inserting an epoxy saturated liner into the existing pipe and curing it in place to form a new, seamless pipe within the old one. Since nothing has to be excavated, trenchless pipe lining preserves yards, driveways, foundations, and floors while restoring the line to full structural integrity.

How long does trenchless pipe lining take?

Most trenchless pipe lining jobs wrap up in a single day. The epoxy liner usually cures within hours, though larger projects or more complex layouts can require more time.. Viking Sewer Rehab will communicate the time line for your property with you and can often handle the camera inspection, cleaning, and lining in one visit.

How long does trenchless pipe lining last?

Trenchless pipe lining is engineered for a 50+ year service life.

How much does trenchless pipe lining cost?

Is trenchless pipe lining better than traditional pipe replacement?

Yes. Trenchless pipe lining is faster, less invasive, and easier on a property than digging up the old pipe. There's no or minimal excavation so you don’t need to worry about your landscaping, cutting in driveways or floors, and most projects finish in a single day. Viking Sewer Rehab specializes in trenchless sewer repairs and is able to bring this less disruptive solution to  rehabilitate your sewer pipes.

Can trenchless pipe lining repair cast iron pipes?

Yes. Cast iron lines are one of the most common pipes Viking Sewer Rehab restores with trenchless lining in Florida, especially in older Tampa Bay homes built before the 1980s. The Cured in Place Pipe Liner (CIPP)  forms a new pipe inside the corroded cast iron without removing it.

Does trenchless pipe lining prevent future sewer line problems?

Yes, the smooth interior of a CIPP-lined pipe significantly improves the flow rate and blocks tree root intrusion, resists scale and grease buildup.

Will trenchless pipe lining disrupt my home or business operations?

Disruption is minimal. Water service is shut off during the lining process, but there's no excavation, no heavy equipment on the property, and no landscape or concrete repair afterward. Most residential and commercial trenchless pipe lining projects in the Tampa Bay area are finished within a day or two.
